Sage and Sun Outfitters
Our base of operation is on our ranch 22 miles north of
Forsyth, Montana. Forsyth is a small town with a population of about
2500 people. Forsyth is located on the Yellowstone River.
Interstate 94 runs east and west through Forsyth. Forsyth is
45 miles west of Miles City, Montana and 100 miles east of Billings,
Montana.
Sage and Sun Outfitters is a family owned business. The
business is ran out of our home. The hunters are primarily lodged in
our basement.
To keep the service as personal as possible, we try to
keep our hunting groups small. After your hunt is finished we would prefer
that you leave our home as a friend and not just a client.
The terrain you will be hunting on for antelope, mule
deer, and whitetail is considered to be the high plains area of Montana.
The elevation is approximately 2800 feet with very few trees, except along
Little Porcupine Creek. It has lots of sagebrush, greasewood, and cactus.
To get here before your hunt you can either drive or fly.
Billings has several major airlines. We will be happy to pick you up
before your hunt and return you to the airport when you are finished with
your hunt. We charge $150 per hunting group for this service.
Non-hunters in your group are welcome. The cost to any non-hunter is
$100.00 per day.
After your successful hunt, meat processing and taxidermy
services are both available.
